As part of EGEE-III training activities Scientific Computing Laboratory organized a training event for Institute of Physics Belgrade business partners on November 3, 2009. Purpose of the training was to introduce Grid technologies and related software tools to IPB collaborative business partners interested in High Performance Computing (HPC).
The attendants of the training event had the opportunity to hear more about commercial aspect of HPC and its usage in industry. The event covered relevant topics concerning Grid usage: Grid projects and services, job submission and usage of storage resources. Each session was followed by live demonstrations. Additionally, participants were given practical overview of Grid oriented version of programming environment Eclipse - gEclipse.
